Anime ini menceritakan siswa SMA yaitu Ryota Murakami, yang tidak pernah bisa melupakan teman perempuan masa kecilnya yang ia biarkan meninggal
dalam sebuah kejadian. Merasa bahwa ia harus memenuhi janji mereka untuk membuktikan keberadaan alien, ia terus memperhatikan langit. Suatu hari, seorang gadis bernama Kuroha Neko yang tampak persis seperti teman masa kecilnya itu, masuk ke kelasnya sebagai murid pindahan.
